Lesson & level description -
Ballroom Intro: (8:30PM Wednesday )
- Always had a passion for Ballroom dancing but don't know
where to start? This is the class we recommend for anyone looking to
sample everything that ballroom dancing has to offer. Every
week we will cover basics of one Ballroom and one Latin dance. We
will cover basics of Waltz, Cha-cha, Tango, Swing, Foxtrot and
Rumba.
Latin Intro (8:00PM Monday)
- We recommend this class for anyone who loves Latin-American
music and Latin-American dancing, but not sure where to start.
We will cover basics of Cha-cha, Rumba, Jive and Samba.
Intermediate Latin (8:15PM Wednesday)
- This class is for anyone who already knows how to dance Latin and
looking to improve their skills. Come to Dance Republic for world
class lessons from current US National Professional Champion Olga
Kinnard. In 6 weeks you'll master a fun and elaborate routine for
one of the Latin dances. You'll improve your technique and style and
will not regret taking this class!
Salsa (7:00PM Thursday)
- By far the most popular dance today! Learning Salsa will be very
useful for anyone who is interested in discovering Boston's Salsa
and Latin Clubs.
Beginner Latin (7:45PM Thursday)
- Another great place to start! Every class we'll cover basics
of one Latin Dance. We'll show you the difference between
International and American style of dancing. You'll learn
International Rumba, American Rumba, International Cha-cha, Mambo,
Swing, Bolero.
Night Club Combo (8:30PM Thursday)
- This class will cover a little bit of everything you might
need at a club, at a formal or at a wedding: Swing, Salsa, Merengue,
Hustle. All of those dances have a lot of similar moves! By the end
of 6 weeks you'll know how to use those patterns for different types
of music.
Argentine Tango! (9:15PM Wednesday)
- Hot, Hot, Hot! Super popular dance! After 6 weeks
you'll be ready to join Boston's Tango community. We'll show you
basics and show you how to build on it.
Beginner
classes - If you
have 2 left feet it’s OK. Those are great classes to start with.
They are designed for very beginners. You are going to learn some
basic steps, some basic techniques, which will allow you to feel more
confidants on a dance floor.
Intermediate classes
- Designed for those who want to learn advanced combinations of steps
(Bronze and Silver steps will be covered in class). Technical aspects
will be covered in relationship to those steps.
Open level - Designed for
advanced students who want to get a hard core competitive
preparation and gain a deep understanding of advanced technical
aspects.
