       Welcome         

     You came to the right place. We are ready to assist you in your journey. We are passionate about dancing and would like to share our passion with you.  Our instructors are superbly trained and have the knowledge and experience you've been looking for.  You are welcome to come and see it for yourself. First lesson is free and it is designed as an introduction to our studio and its services.  It includes a personal consultation to set you up with the best possible program.

You will not be disappointed. We offer you the best currently competing professionals Boston area can offer. Why would you need a competing professional? Simply because they have the latest information available since they still improving themselves taking lessons from the best in the world. Those aren't just words- it is our promise to you that you are in the hands of people who can make you into the dancer you've always wanted to be.

            History

       In 2006, Dance Republic opened as an intensive Dancesport program exclusively for competitive junior athletes. Members of the program have received national rankings, represented the United States at the World Dancesport Championships, as well as appeared on television and in national newspapers and magazines. Dance Republic has grown to include both on-going classes for adults of all levels and ages as well the esteemed Harvard Ballroom Dance Team. Now it is your turn.

 

Olga Kinnard
 Began her training at the age of five as a Rhythmic gymnast in St. Petersburg, Russia. She graduated from Tufts University with Magna Cum Laude in Biology.  Shortly after graduation she moved to New York City to train intensively in Latin American Dancing.

In many years of teaching Olga produced national and world pro-am champions, US Junior vice champions, North-American pre-teen champions. She is passionate about working with children (click). She is a Latin coach for Harvard Ballroom team. She is available for coaching and pro-am instructions for students interested in International Latin and American Rhythm.   Basil Issaev


 
  Is one of the best ballroom professional dancers in USA today.            Among  his accomplishments are:

  • 2001 Ohio Star Ball Under 21 Ballroom Champion
  • 2003 runner-up at NDCA Amateur National Championships
  •            US National Amateur Bronze medalist
  • 2007 Norwegian Professional Ballroom Champion
  •            International Professional RS finalist

  Liene Apale

  Liene started her dancing carrier in Riga, Latvia at the age of 4. She had many successful partnerships and her list of dancing accomplishments is long and impressive. 

 

2002, 2003 - US National Amateur Standard Champion

2005 Blackpool Professional RS standard runner-up

2005 Ohio Star Ball Open Professional Standard champion

2007 World Professional Standard semi-finalist

  Mariko Cantley


  Began her dance training at age 5 in classical ballet. She studied at Boston Ballet, Ballet Theatre of Boston, and American Academy of Ballet and with Nora Irinova, training in character dance, jazz, hip hop, and ballroom. She began ballroom while studying for her BA in History at Harvard College, where she served as Team Captain of the Harvard Ballroom Team. In 2005 she began competing professionally in International Standard. She trains primarily with Charlotte Jorgensen, and has worked with Richard and Anne Gleave, Paul Holmes, and Linas Koreiva. She has been a frequent finalist in Rising Star competitions across the country. Marico is available for coaching and pro-am instructions for students who are interested in international standard.

 

   Misha Yalovenko 

Was born in Novorossiysk, Russia where, at the age of six, he began his dancing career, moving on to win many competitions at the regional and national level In the early nineties, Misha and his partner joined the Atlantic Ballroom Dance Formation team as soloists, giving shows all over Europe and Asia.

While going for his Bachelor's in education at the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University, Misha continued his dance studies abroad, often visiting London to take lessons with some of the best teachers in the world including Stephen and Jennifer Hillier, Charlotte Jorgenson, and many others. He graduated from the University Summa Cum Laude and moved on to the University College of London Law School where he studied International Trade and Human Rights Law, receiving a Juris Doctor Degree from the Suffolk Law School.

 

 

 

    Ferenc Nemeth  

    is a native of Hungary and started his dancing career at the young age of eleven. His passion for music and dance at an early age combined with hard work showed the results he achieved when engaged in competitive dancing. At the age of seventeen he held the title of Youth Latin Champion of Ballroom Dancing and is also a former Hungarian Latin Rank list leader, Professional United States Latin Champion Semi-Finalist and Rising Star Finalist.

   For his formal education Ferenc graduated as an Electrical Engineer, but his love for dancing kept him on the path of an artist. His travels all across Europe brought him to the best teachers that could be found from Italy to England where he absorbed their dance knowledge and awareness of dance.

    Ferenc has worked with many individuals and groups throughout the years like the Harvard Ballroom Team in Boston and Hungarian Youth Latin Champions of Ballroom Dancing in 1996 instructing them and expanding their dance capabilities. At Dance Republic we are proud to have Ferenc on our team. Here he can pass on his knowledge and skill to others, from children to adults, anyone who has the thirst to step into the magical world of dance where mind, body and spirit are one harmonious, rhythmical expression of the self.  To watch most recent dance video with Ferenc  click here.

Ferenc is available for coaching and pro-am instructions in International Latin, American Rhythm and American Smooth styles.
